Residential Services

 

A variety of residential services are available.  No job is too big or too small.  The following gives an idea of the range of projects:

	Structural analysis for existing structures to remove load bearing walls, analyze existing trusses or floor beams, redesign of trusses, adding window and door openings, verifying structural strength, etc.
	Room additions, minor or major
	New construction, traditional stick built, cement block, poured concrete walls or “green” sustainable architecture
	City homes, duplexes, mother in law quarters
	Country self-sustaining homes
	Structural inspection per HUD-FHA foundation requirements by a professional engineer

Although the laws for housing construction do not require a registered professional engineer or architect, consider:

	How well do you know state and local building codes?
	Do you have time to research the codes?
	Do you have the time to document change orders to the contractor?
	Do you have the time to keep accurate notes?
	Who will update your drawings so that you have documentation for future reference?
	Do you have the time to make the necessary contact(s) to the contractor(s) to ensure timely purchasing of materials and services to promote the probability of an on time project?
