First United Methodist Church

The church needed education facilities, restroom facilities, a new nursery, offices, a new kitchen and a larger fellowship hall.  The congregation was quite small (about 50 people attending on Sunday mornings) but had a vision.  The addition was constructed in 1997 and consisted of a basement and first story.  Total square footage added was 6000 and the cost was $335,000 (less than $56 per square foot.)  After the addition was complete, the congregation did some remodeling to convert the old open fellowship hall into offices and a new nursery.
